Vacuolar membrane

Markers in the vacuolar mambrane class result from fusions between GFP and known or predicted vacuolar membrane proteins such as delta TIP (line Q5). The vacuolar membrane system is continuously deformed by cytoplasmic strands and organelles which stream through the cell at relatively fast rates. This feature of continuous deformation generates a strikingly dynamic membrane system, as can be seen in the time lapsed movies of vacuolar membrane marker Q5 shown below. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
